Hide A Tax

It is a form of tax, this ramping up of the deficit...

We the people get fat and happy while they line their coffers by inflating wealth, and property into nothing. Doesn't matter the deficit, doesn't matter the tax, they play the game their way regardless of loss because to them, it is a constant hum of crisis management. The bigger the crises, the more they are needed to provide the solution, the more larger the government grows.

We the people have not long before any credible outcome of our fate shall long since be gone. Obama and his radical court jesters know this, regardless of Bush and Cheney, Goldman Sachs or Harvard. They have planned long and hard.

We must make it clear that the hammer blows WILL fall around THIER ears as long and as fast as is needed to rid our world of these ideas. Their ideas which never worked in the real world shall never happen here.

The Money Trail In Going Green

What is the main reason the green movement has such stamina when thousands of scientists have signed on to the movement to discredit Global Warming as a theory, as the evidence mounts, the anti global warming movement finds it increasingly difficult to get the message out through an uncooperative mainstream media.

Excellent piece from Financial Post by Lawrence Solomon here.

Patty Murray Wipes her Nose and Sends Me the Tissue

Here is Senator Patty Murray's response to me via email regarding my email to her about the outrage over the AIG scandal back about fourty years ago.  I can't wait to hear from her about FOCA:

Dear Mr. Baker:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about legislative efforts to curb excessive executive compensation. It is good to hear from you.

Concern about shareholder value, corporate governance, and the escalating pay for corporate executives has led to a strong debate surrounding compensation.  News that recipients of federal assistance through the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), like American International Group, provided millionsof dollars in bonuses exacerbated frustrations with corporate compensation practices around the country.

In response to these developments in March, legislative solutions to the problem wereproposed in Congress.  The Compensation Fairness Act of 2009, S. 651, was introduced in the Senate to impose an excise tax on bonuses distributed by a company after receiving federal assistance to be paid by both the employer and bonus recipient.  The House of Representativesconsidered and passed a measure that would impose an income tax at 90% of the bonus on the recipient.  I have concerns about theunintended consequences of this legislation and who may be impacted.  You will be happy to know, at this point, neither proposal has a timeline established for further consideration by the Senate.

I will continue to monitor this issue closely, andwork to make certain that all institutions and companies who receive federal assistance use those funds appropriately.  But I will also make sure my colleagues understand the real worldramifications of these legislative proposals.

Should any legislation be brought before the full Senate dealing with extravagant bonuses issued by companies receiving federal assistance, please know I will keep your views in mind.  Again, I appreciate your thoughts on this issue.  Please don't hesitate to contact me again in the future

Culture War Update; The Schock Troops Of Marriage Reform

I guess you have pretty much been saturated by now about the new administrations Shock and Awe on deliberately and steadfastly prosecuting a war on terror against conservatives in America, which stands to reason since to their unusual intelligence makes everything Bushes fault and the fault of all of their followers, the neo-cons and anyone around them that does not believe that the Truthers Were Right.  But here's a little news for most of them.  They are wrong, but their pig headed love for all things progressive means that they will drive us all down with them because a fifth column media says its all right and any cracks in reason can be pasted over with another hit peice on fake news or, perhaps what Paris Hilton's dog had for lunch.

So, when it comes to dialog, you pretty much have to go it alone with them whenever they challenge you on the fact that you don't echo chamber the echo chamber that follows their star chamber which just happens to be everyone and everything Barack Obama, but I repeat myself at the risk of nausea.

But remember when, not to long ago the nation rose up in the millions to defend, not just once but three times in California, and almost countless numbers in states all across America, time and time, etc. That every time it came up for a vote, it was voted down, that people did not want Gay Marriage.  It was blamed on the Latter Day Saints for having provided funds to a political PAC to campaign against it this last time in California, which I am sure that you have heard and could just as easily find reference to it as I can, that this comes right out of Saul Alinsky Power Tactics 7 and 3 to freeze and then ridicule, as well as a few others I could easily argue the hows and the why for's.  But during all of 'the struggle' for 'gay rights' and 'equality' for 'gay marriage' came the argument that if gays ever got the right to marry, legally recognized, bona fide stamp of federal approval, then that would back door every other form of sexual perversion being officially recognized and sanctioned. I know, it was a slippery slope, but again, that does not mean that its a false assumption, when the decision rendered was false in it's assumptions,

The argument was that gays should have the right to marry because no one picks who they are as a characteristic from birth, so how could they be responsible for their own lack of similar rights? It is the nature vs. nurture argument that goes way back to the first officially recognized form of homosexuality in the Kinsey Report.  But that has nothing to do with the governments trying to throw off the yoke to protect its citizens from the destruction of Natural Law. This is something which Cicero warned us well about and because the founders wanted to secure for us in the debates on the constitution written in the Federalist Papers.  I like Cicero because he was murdered for what he believed, he is quoted here because he chose to say what he believed anyway, though it cost him his life.

So, now in one of the countries which favor gay marriage with legal sanction and have had it for quite some time, comes a case that the gay alliance said for years would never happen,  a polygamy case in Canada.

"Canadians of all backgrounds share some basic values, like a belief in human dignity, equality between men and women and the rule of law. It is these values that unite us as Canadians," states a note prepared for the minister. "The practice of polygamy represents a clear challenge to those unifying values."
The Criminal Code outlaws "any form of polygamy" or "any kind of conjugal union with more than one person at the same time, whether or not it is by law recognized as a binding form of marriage.

This realy is beginning to sound familiar isn't it?

Please read the whole article and get informed.  This storm is coming.

Che Down The Rabbit Hole Parts I and II a Movie Review

It really is fascinating the unrelenting marketing of this man.  Someone said that the brand identification of Che started with that ubique image of the man from the sixties.  I was bored on this Read the Constitution Monday and decided to go have a tortured evening watching such stuff to see if I could figure this thing out.  I did not, sad to say, nor for that matter did I ever figure out what on earth was the fascination with the Grateful Dead.
What I saw, I have to admit was a loving embrace of the revolutionary and an almost total whitewash of the man.  There is nothing of the person, only the revolutionary with a twist, that of an almost morbid fascination with gritty wounds.  Nobody ever gets better in this movie, but there seems to be an endless stream of bullet wound trajectories and woozy camera angles to fizz in and out of consciousness and blood drippy fingers.  It is almost like the movie tries to make metaphor for what the propaganda is supposed to do for you.
It also says it in the credits that this part of the movie (its actually a two parter, just like the old double feature, so thats over four hours- of Lawrence Of Arabia doting of loving embrace)that what follows is based on Che's actual diaries, and if this is what passes for his diaries, then there was absolutely no humor in the man.  Just what you would expect from reading the memoirs of a sociopath. Whatever plot interpretation, quips or jokes, or for that matter character depth is absent.  Benecio Del Toro is a fine actor and many, many fine latino actors are in it up to and including a surprising short sequence with Lou Diamond Phillips but alas , no Edward Olmos.  This thing is put together with the exact literal translation of Che's personal notes with; I want to say an almost sacrosanct devotion to every word.  I am saying almost because its not because I studied Che, or even thought of him as anything other than a misguided killer on a Statezilla binge, but I could only determine the relentless drive and heroic struggle of the sleeping in the rain, playing with buddy guts and the 'doing what needs to be done' task type stuff of the 'trooper life', sorry that does not include catholes and stinking to hell, but the romantic Zapatista, the Simon Bolivar type of revolutionary that pissed off Texans once or twice and that seem to be in need of another ass whuppin as we speak.

But what I did get as a student of history and that usually includes military history if you get into history at all, you will be struck by how absolutely by the book the memoir and the tremendously EPIC four hours of film are to Mao's Little Red Book on guerrilla warfare.  This is the motherlode of asymetrical warfare which our current baffoon in office Barack Hussien Obama seems to not only do alittle doting on dictators himself but perhaps might even fancy himself as one by the time he is through having his way with America, as in U.S, America, home of the free, land of the brave, which, Che makes quite a bit of hay blaming America in trying to unite the 'helpless peasants' behind the blood drenched cause by circling and underlining American Imperialism, shake, stir, repeat.
Any way, if you go to this thing with anything other than stars in your eyes "for the revolutionary struggle of communism" then its pretty much bound to tick you off in a few places.
I only saw maybe a handful of people at the theatre with me, so, hopefully, this thing gets sold to the latino market and fizzles out as nostalgia for sixties prop that it most definately is.  Long Live The Revolution and Off Topic
